Bharatanatyam artiste Christopher Guruswamy dazzles at Natyarangam’s Bharatham Festival
Chennai: The element ‘Vayu’ (air) came alive on stage as Bharatanatyam artiste Christopher Guruswamy delivered a riveting performance at Natyarangam’s annual Bharatham festival.
The festival’s core idea of fostering creative exchange between Carnatic vocalists and Bharatanatyam dancers found expression in a collaboration between Christopher and vocalist Vignesh Ishwar.
Carefully curated compositions ranging from classical to contemporary, alternating between fast-paced and soft numbers, sustained interest and expanded the scope of the presentation.
