Vismaya Mohanlal makes acting debut in Jude Anthany Joseph’s action drama

Kochi: The trailer of Thudakkam was released on Tuesday, marking the acting debut of Vismaya Mohanlal, daughter of veteran actor Mohanlal.

Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the film is billed as an action drama and is scheduled to release in theatres on August 7, 2026. The trailer introduces Vismaya in a gritty, intense role, with hints of family conflict and high-stakes action.

The film will also feature a cameo appearance by Mohanlal, produced under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner.

Thudakkam has drawn attention in recent weeks after Vismaya was in the headlines for facing cyber-bullying. The backlash followed her public support for student protests held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

With Jude Anthany Joseph at the helm — known for films like 2018 and Ohm Shanthi Oshaana — expectations are high for the debut vehicle.
