Srishti Gallery’s ‘Emerging Palettes’ completes 16 years, features 10 artists from 300+ entries

Hyderabad: Sixteen years after it began as a platform for young artists in Hyderabad, Emerging Palettes continues to introduce art enthusiasts to some of India’s newest contemporary art voices. The initiative, mooted by Srishti Art Gallery, is back with its latest edition.

This year’s edition is presented by Srishti Art Gallery in collaboration with Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad. It brings together 10 emerging artists selected from more than 300 applications received from across India. The exhibition showcases artists working across different mediums.

Many artworks in the show explore themes of memory, identity and belonging. The artists have used varied mediums including ceramics, printmaking, sculpture and sound to interpret these ideas.

Since its launch 16 years ago, Emerging Palettes has served as a launchpad for young contemporary artists, giving them visibility among collectors, curators and the public. The collaboration with Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad this year adds an international cultural dimension to the platform.

The exhibition aims to highlight the diversity of practices shaping India’s contemporary art scene today, with a focus on artists at the early stages of their careers.
