From $11B to $22B: India’s digital ad boom forecast by 2030

New Delhi: India’s digital advertising market is projected to double over the next five years, reaching up to $22 billion by 2030, according to a report released Friday by market research firm Redseer Consulting.

The Indian digital ad market currently stands at $11 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10-15%, putting it in the range of $19 billion to $22 billion by 2030, said Madhav Gulati, senior consultant at Redseer Consulting.

The report notes that digital advertising spend growth is outpacing the broader economy. The segment accounts for 70-75% of total global ad spend in 2025 and is growing at 3-5 times the pace of global real GDP.

Geographically, the United States holds the largest share of global digital ad spend at around 46% in 2025, followed by China at about 24%. India’s share is currently around 1%, according to the report. The global digital advertising market is expected to cross $1.2 trillion by 2030.

Mobile dominates within digital, commanding over 65% of all digital ad spends. Within mobile, in-app advertising holds an 80-85% share in the US and is growing faster than the broader mobile category, the report said.
