Over 100 dancers to take stage for ‘Nrityadhara 3’ Bharatanatyam showcase
New Delhi: Aayam will present Nrityadhara 3, its annual Bharatanatyam showcase conceived and directed by guru Sindhu Mishra, celebrating learning, lineage, and the classical form through rhythm, expression, devotion, and storytelling.The production brings together more than 100 dancers on stage.
The programme opens with a contemplative guru stuti inspired by Meerabai, performed by senior disciples. It transitions into a chatusra alarippu composed and choreographed by Sindhu Mishra, followed by a jathiswaram in ragamalika set to Misra Chapu tala.
The repertoire also includes the abhinaya piece Krishna nee begane baro and Shivashtakam, based on the hymn by Adi Shankaracharya, which will be presented by intermediate students.
Nrityadhara 3 aims to highlight both technical precision and emotive depth in Bharatanatyam while showcasing multiple generations of dancers.
