All Kerala Radio Festival returns after 8 years, Mohanlal to lend voice

Thiruvananthapuram: The All Kerala Radio Festival organised by stations of Akashvani (All India Radio) is back after a gap of eight years.

The nine-day festival will commence on May 10 with a preview. The event was put on hold during the pandemic and was not revived until now.

As has been the practice, actors from Malayalam cinema, serials, and television are part of the productions this year as well.

Among them is actor Mohanlal, who is lending his voice for two productions. Organisers said the festival will feature radio dramas, documentaries, and musical programmes produced by AIR stations across Kerala. Several veteran radio artists and technicians will also be felicitated.

The festival will be broadcast statewide on Akashvani channels and streamed on the AIR Kerala app.
