Malayali artist Aksomaniac’s ‘Amsham’ hits spotify global viral top 3

Kochi: Malayali musician Aron Kollassani Selestin, better known as Aksomaniac, has taken global charts by storm with his latest track ‘Amsham’.

In the song, Aksomaniac embodies a ‘formless’ celestial being, swaying among forms and faces. The character Manmadhan is doomed to love infinitely yet forever denied any such feelings in return, as he meanders through his vain eternal existence.

Featuring verses in Malayalam and Tamil, ‘Amsham’ brings together indie artists MHR, Bhumi and Circle Tone. The track moves seamlessly across R&B and hip-hop, blending languages and genres.

‘Amsham’ has gone viral with over eight million streams online. It was recently ranked third on the Spotify Viral 50 – Global chart. It is only the second Malayalam song to enter the list, after ‘Kalyani’ by ARJN x KDS x FIFTY4 x RONN.

The success marks another milestone for India’s independent music scene, with Malayalam artists gaining traction on global playlists.
