Operation Safed Sagar’ to premiere on Netflix on August 7

Netflix will release its new patriotic action-drama Operation Safed Sagar on August 7, 2026, the platform announced on July 11.

Directed by Oni Sen and created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, the series centers on themes of national duty and military action.

The ensemble cast includes Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Abhay Verma, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin, and Amrita Bagchi.

The title refers to India’s 1999 Kargil War operation, indicating the series will focus on stories of valor and service. Netflix has not shared an official synopsis or trailer yet.

With its August release, the show joins Netflix’s slate of Indian originals timed around Independence Day. The mix of film stars and digital talent positions it as one of the platform’s big patriotic offerings this year.
