Maruti Suzuki’s new Brezza gets 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating
Mumbai: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has secured a 5-star safety rating for its upcoming New Brezza under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP).
The SUV scored 5 stars in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP), the company said on Wednesday (July 23, 2026).
The New Brezza is slated to launch on July 24, 2026. It comes equipped with several advanced safety features, including blind spot warning with lane change alert, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), emergency stop signal, and safe exit warning.
With this, Maruti’s 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated portfolio now includes Dzire, VICTORIS, Invicto and e VITARA.
The rating comes as carmakers push for higher safety standards ahead of stricter norms and growing consumer focus on vehicle safety in India.
