‘Kagurabachi’ anime sets April 2027 premiere, signals new Shonen wave
The breakout manga Kagurabachi is officially getting an anime, with a teaser trailer confirming a television debut in April 2027. The announcement came during a recent Jump Press industry showcase, where the first footage offered a glimpse of the series’ edgy, stylised action.
Tetsuya Takeuchi will direct the adaptation, with Keigo Sasaki handling character designs and animation by CyPic. A first look key visual was also released alongside the teaser. The series is being positioned as a potential new era for shonen, with its dark tone and sword-driven story standing out in the genre.
