ISRO successfully conducts first ground test of SOLVE solid motor for Gaganyaan
Sriharikota: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully carried out the first ground test of the Sub-Orbital Launch Vehicle for Experiments (SOLVE) solid motor.
The test was conducted on July 3 at the Static Test Facility in Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
ISRO said the SOLVE solid motor is a key component for upcoming Gaganyaan Test Missions. The motor will be used to support sub-orbital flight experiments ahead of India’s first human spaceflight programme.
Officials confirmed that the test met all objectives. Data from the firing will now be analyzed to validate the motor’s performance.
Gaganyaan aims to send Indian astronauts to space. The SOLVE tests are part of ISRO’s preparations to qualify systems and procedures for crew safety.
