Couple turns 3-month Himalayan escape into retreat near Mukteshwar

Mukteshwar: NIFT graduates Mahima and Rashmikant Jha came to Letibunga village near Mukteshwar for 3 months in early 2023 to work remotely. They ended up quitting their corporate jobs and opening a nature retreat called Shoonya.

Spread over half an acre, Shoonya opened in April 2024 with a focus on shared spaces over more rooms, including a glass community space, fire pit and stargazing deck. The property harvests 80,000 litres of rainwater, recycles greywater, and has 200+ new trees planted.
