Trailer of Kareena Kapoor Khan-Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Daayra’ unveiled

Mumbai: The trailer of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming crime-thriller, Daayra, was unveiled by the makers on Monday.

Inspired by true events, the film has been directed by Meghna Gulzar, known for making Talvar, Raazi and Sam Bahadur. She has also written the film with Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal.

The trailer opens with introduction into a brutal crime scene involving the disappearance of a girl. DCP Raman Kumar (Prithviraj) and DCP Ajooni Kohli (Kareena) are seen talking about what happened during an encounter killing, where the cops had to resort to shooting after the suspects fired at them.

There are questions raised whether it was a planned encounter as a mother pleads the cops to find her daughter. Ajooni and Raman are both carrying out investigations in their own way.”I work within the boundaries of law,” she tells Raman to which he replies, “And I don’t.”The film promises to be a riveting crime-thriller told from multiple perspectives.
