Rupee gains 2 paise to 95.43 against US dollar in early trade
The Indian rupee gained 2 paise to 95.43 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday, supported by a weaker greenback in overseas markets.
Forex traders said the currency, however, remained under pressure amid foreign fund outflows from domestic equities and rising crude oil prices driven by geopolitical uncertainties.
A softer US dollar gave the rupee some respite in opening deals, but concerns over sustained FPI selling and elevated oil prices limited further gains, traders added.
