‘Jana Nayagan’ gets release date: Vijay’s swansong film to hit theatres on July 23

Chennai: Actor-turned-politician and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s most-awaited film Jana Nayagan will release in theatres on July 23, the makers announced on Wednesday.

The announcement puts an end to months of uncertainty around the film’s debut. The release was halted in January by the Central Board of Film Certification, leaving fans waiting for an update.

KVN Productions, the banner producing the H. Vinoth directorial, confirmed the new date on its official X handle along with a new poster.

Touted as Vijay’s final film before he steps away from cinema, Jana Nayagan is one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year.
