Artist Rajesh RV explores harmony between humans and nature in ‘The Magnificent Life’

Chennai: Childhood hours spent watching National Geographic and BBC Earth with his father shaped artist Rajesh RV’s lifelong fascination with the natural world. That passion now anchors his ongoing exhibition, The Magnificent Life, at Forum Art Gallery.

“I started watching these programmes around the V or VI standard with my father, and slowly developed my own fascination for Nature,” Rajesh said.

A sense of mysticism runs through his canvases, where animals take centre stage in almost every composition. The works weave together elements of earth, cosmos and universe, reflecting what the artist calls an alternate reality free from greed, selfishness and the pursuit of power.

In this imagined world, humans and animals coexist in peace, bound by mutual respect rather than dominance.

The Magnificent Life brings Rajesh’s vision to Forum Art Gallery, inviting viewers to consider a more harmonious relationship with wildlife and the environment. The exhibition is currently on view.
