Mhow, MP: Defence and aerospace manufacturer Nibe Limited demonstrated its advanced long-range 120mm vehicle-mounted mortar system, Garudastra, to the Indian Army on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
The trial was held at the Infantry School, Mhow, as part of a no-cost-no-commitment NC-NC evaluation. According to Nibe Limited, the demonstration highlighted the system’s rapid deployment ability and high rate of fire. It also showcased Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact MRSI capability, which lets several shells hit a target at the same time.
The mortar system is compatible with GPS and laser-guided munitions, giving it precision strike ability for long-range targets. The NC-NC trial allows the Army to assess Garudastra’s performance without financial commitment.
