ONGC signs new deal with BP unit to boost output from Western Offshore fields

New Delhi: Building on enhanced production from Mumbai High fields from a similar agreement, state-owned explorer Oil and Natural Gas Company on Monday inked yet another technical services-provider agreement with British major BP Plc’s subsidiary, BP Exploration Services India, for Western Offshore fields.

The agreement covers Western Offshore fields, excluding Mumbai High.“The TSP will review the field performance and identify improvements in reservoir, facilities and wells to enhance production from Western Offshore fields (excluding the Mumbai High),” ONGC informed.

The move follows earlier collaboration between ONGC and BP that led to enhanced production from Mumbai High fields.
