Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse gets emotional at CinemaCon 2026

Sony Pictures gave fans a sneak peek at the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse during CinemaCon 2026, showcasing new footage and images from the animated trilogy’s conclusion. The film’s filmmakers, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, along with directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, presented the preview, calling it the emotional final chapter to Miles Morales’ story.

The footage picks up where Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left off, with Miles stranded in an alternate universe and facing off against a version of himself, known as The Prowler. The preview shows Miles using his powers to escape and battle his alternate self, with help from allies like Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Punk.

The new stills released from the film feature Miles, Spider-Man 2099, and other familiar characters. With a release date set for June 18, 2027, fans are eagerly awaiting the conclusion of Miles Morales’ journey.
