Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna return as rebels in Ranabaali
Hyderabad: The makers of Telugu period drama Ranabaali have released the nearly four-minute trailer of the film, days after launching a short documentary series titled Never Forget.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, the trailer builds on the context introduced in the docu-series, which detailed how millions of Indian lives were lost during the Madras famine of 1876-78 due to oppressive measures by the British Empire.
While the docu-series laid out the historical background, the trailer shifts focus to resistance and rebellion, showing the lead characters and their village fighting back.
Ranabaali marks the first collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna after their wedding early this year. The duo previously featured together in the blockbuster Geetha Govindam and sports romance Dear Comrade.
