Indian payloads successfully deployed in orbit on SpaceX Transporter-18 mission
Bengaluru: Multiple payloads developed by Indian companies were successfully deployed in orbit in the early hours of October 2.
The satellites were launched aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA, as part of the Transporter-18 rideshare mission.
Dhruva Space’s LEAP-2 (Launching Expeditions for Aspiring Payloads) platform, hosting multiple In-Orbit Demonstration missions, was part of the launch. The payloads included a star tracker by France-based Sodern ArianeGroup and TAPAS-1 by India-based SatLeo Labs.
