‘Wild Tamil Nadu’ documentary narrated by Arvind Swamy set for YouTube release

Chennai: Wild Tamil Nadu, an acclaimed wildlife documentary directed by photographer and filmmaker Kalyan Varma, is set to premiere on YouTube soon.

Narrated by actor Arvind Swamy, the one-hour natural history film was produced by Sundram Fasteners as a CSR initiative in collaboration with Nature in Focus and supported by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.

The documentary celebrates the State’s biodiversity and ecological heritage, taking viewers on an immersive journey through Tamil Nadu’s diverse landscapes. According to the makers, the film captures rare and intimate moments from the natural world, many of which have never been documented on camera before.

Wild Tamil Nadu was first released in 2021 and won praise for its cinematography and storytelling. The upcoming YouTube release will make it freely accessible to a wider audience.
