New Delhi: A team of U.S. negotiators will visit India from June 1 to June 4 to finalize details of an Interim Agreement between the two countries, the Ministry of Commerce announced Wednesday.
The delegation will be led by U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. Talks will also advance negotiations on a broader Bilateral Trade Agreement.
India and the U.S. issued a joint statement on February 7, 2026, agreeing on a framework for an Interim Agreement on reciprocal and mutually beneficial trade.
That framework reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to a wider BTA. The upcoming visit marks the next step in formalizing trade ties. Officials are expected to lock in terms of the interim deal and set the agenda for long-term negotiations.
