Indore: Udaan Paper Industries, an Indore-based manufacturer, has shifted to automated production to meet rising demand for sustainable packaging.
The company now operates two fully automated plants in Pithampur, MP and Kanpur, UP, producing nearly 50 lakh recyclable corrugated boxes every month. Combined capacity stands at 30,000 tonnes annually.
The move addresses long-standing issues of inconsistent quality and delays in India’s largely manual packaging sector. Automation has helped improve speed, consistency, and reduce material waste, while supporting the shift from plastic to paper-based packaging.
“Automation helps us deliver packaging that is consistent in quality and reaches customers on time,” said Yash Bakliwal, Managing Director, Udaan Paper Industries.
Udaan supplies FMCG, food, dairy, textiles and e-commerce businesses across North and Central India, and employs around 100 people. The company now plans to expand into paper bags and explore exports to the US, UK, and Australia as demand for sustainable packaging grows globally.
