Stage version of Sivasankari stories debuts in Chennai

Six stories by popular writer Sivasankari have been adapted for the stage by Dharani Komal and presented as Sivasankari at the Vani Mahal theatre festival.

Sivasankari’s stories, written over a long and prolific career across a wide range of subjects, have long resonated with readers of Tamil periodicals. From her vast repertoire, Komal selected six stories for the adaptation.

Each of the selected stories explored themes whose core emotional values would resonate with viewers. The compilation began with simple, light-hearted anecdotal pieces and gradually moved towards more serious emotional territory, before culminating in a reflective, retrospective finale.
