QNu Labs leads India’s push for quantum-safe cybersecurity

Bengaluru: Founded in 2016 by Sunil Gupta and Srinivasa Rao Aluri and incubated at IIT Madras, QNu Labs is positioning itself as India’s only full-stack quantum cybersecurity company.

The Bengaluru-based startup builds hardware and software to protect data from future quantum computer threats. Its key products include Armos for Quantum Key Distribution, Tropos for quantum random numbers, and QShield, a platform that integrates with existing networks.

After early trials in Leh and Rajasthan, QNu Labs secured major defence orders — from the Indian Army in 2022 and the Indian Navy in 2023. In April 2026 it launched India’s first 1,000-km quantum secure network over existing telecom fibre.

The company now works with banks, government bodies and critical infrastructure to guard against “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks, with 12 granted patents and its own training arm, QNu Academy, to build quantum talent in India.
