Prime Video unveils first teaser for ‘The Greatest’

Los Angeles: Prime Video has released the first teaser for The Greatest, the upcoming limited series based on the life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The streamer also confirmed that all eight episodes will premiere on November 4.

Billed as the first authorised scripted series about Ali’s life, the show stars Jaalen Best as the legendary heavyweight champion. Omari Hardwick and Dana Gourrier play his parents, Cassius “Cash” Clay Sr. and Odessa “Bird” Clay. Kai Parham portrays Ali’s younger brother Rudy Clay.

The cast also includes Michael Ealy as civil rights leader Malcolm X and Amin Joseph as boxing rival Sonny Liston.

The series will trace Ali’s journey from his early years in Louisville to his rise as a three-time world heavyweight champion and global icon.

Prime Video said the show was made with the cooperation of the Ali family and estate.
