Nidhi Mariam Jacob’s ‘Shape Of My Heart’ showcases fantastical flowers at KYNKYNY

Bengaluru: Artist Nidhi Mariam Jacob is presenting Shape Of My Heart, a solo exhibition of fantastical floral works at KYNKYNY Art Gallery.

The show features Jacob’s signature illustrative style — works defined by clear-cut lines, symmetry, and bold forms that feel both structured and free.“Children connect with my work because they are illustrative with clear cut lines,” Jacob said. “At the same time, there is a certain randomness and symmetry to them with clear shapes and forms.”

Her botanicals break from realism. Leaves turn blue, colours spill beyond natural boundaries, and shapes take on an imaginative quality. “There are no boundaries there either: in some of my paintings, the leaves are blue and the colours go beyond actual botanical forms. That is something I truly enjoy about my work,” she added.
