Netflix announces new family-drama ‘Dilwali Diwali’, to release on November 5

Streaming service Netflix has announced a new family-drama, Dilwali Diwali, which will be released on the platform on November 5. The film stars Mihir Ahuja, Manoj Pahwa, Neelu Kohli and Aurra Bhatnagar in pivotal roles.

Dilwali Diwali marks another collaboration between Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) and Netflix after Greater Kalesh and Musafir Cafe. It is written by Ritu Mago, directed by Ritesh Menon and follows “messy dynamics of intergenerational relationships”, as per a press release.

It tells the story of a Punjabi household where Ansh Sikkha (Mihir) returns home for Diwali after years of working abroad.

“As the Sikkas come together for Diwali, their differing ideas of what makes a good life spark moments of humour, tenderness, and recognition,” read the release.
