Meta unveils Muse Spark AI model; Aims to take on Claude and ChatGPT

Meta has released its latest AI model, Muse Spark, which is being touted as the company’s most advanced AI model yet. Developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), led by Alexandr Wang, Muse Spark is a natively multimodal reasoning model that accepts text and image inputs, supports three reasoning modes, and includes 16 built-in tools for search, code execution, image generation, and more.

Muse Spark was built entirely from scratch in just nine months and is designed to power Meta AI across various platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. The model is available now on meta.ai and the Meta AI app, with plans to roll out to other platforms in the coming weeks.

Muse Spark is being positioned as a major step in Meta’s push towards personal superintelligence, with plans to release increasingly advanced models in the future.
