“Lights, Camera, Cricket! ‘Dada’ Filming Begins Now”; Vikramaditya Motwane to direct Sourav Ganguly’s biopic
New Delhi: Filming has begun on “Dada”, the upcoming biographical movie on Indian cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, with filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. The makers announced about the filming on Wednesday. Director Motwane, known for his critical hits such as “Udaan”, “Lootera”, “Trapped” and series “Jubilee” and “Black Warrant”.
Actor Rajkummar Rao will portray Ganguly in the movie, which is produced by filmmaker Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films. The production banner shared a photo of clapperboard on Instagram to announce that the movie has started filming. “Lights, Camera, Cricket! ‘Dada’ Filming Begins Now,” wrote Luv Films in their official page.
