‘Lanterns’ to premiere globally on Aug 17, will stream in India exclusively on JioHotstar
San Diego: DC Studios unveiled the official trailer for its highly anticipated drama series ‘Lanterns’ during the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) panel this weekend. The event featured stars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, along with co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King.
The 8-episode series will premiere in India on Monday, August 17, exclusively on JioHotstar, alongside its global debut.
Lanterns follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops of the Green Lantern Corps. The duo is drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery with cosmic ties as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. As their investigation deepens, they uncover secrets that could have far-reaching consequences for Earth and beyond.
The series marks DC Studios’ latest push into grounded, detective-style storytelling within its superhero universe, blending crime drama with intergalactic lore.
