Jessica Chastain stars in first trailer for Rob Savage’s horror ‘Other Mommy’

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Other Mommy, the upcoming psychological horror film from Host director Rob Savage, with Jessica Chastain leading the cast in what’s being billed as one of the most unsettling roles of her career.

Based on Josh Malerman’s acclaimed novel Incidents Around the House, the film centers on 8-year-old Bela, whose already strained home life is upended by a mysterious presence she calls “Other Mommy.”

The figure looks identical to Bela’s mother, Ursula, played by Chastain, but its increasingly disturbing behavior soon convinces the family that something deeply unnatural has entered their lives.

The trailer teases a tense, domestic horror story that blurs the line between grief, imagination, and a sinister force taking over the household.

Other Mommy marks Savage’s first studio feature since The Boogeyman and reteams Universal with Malerman, whose novel Bird Box was previously adapted into a Netflix hit.
