Google launches Gemini 3.7 Flash AI model focused on coding and agent workflows

Alphabet’s Google on Thursday unveiled Gemini 3.7 Flash, its latest AI model built for software coding and automated business tasks. The company did not announce a release timeline for its flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro model, which investors have been closely watching as a benchmark for Google’s AI progress.

Gemini 3.7 Flash is positioned for developers and enterprises needing fast, efficient AI for coding assistance and agent-driven workflows. The launch comes as Google co-founder Sergey Brin has in recent months urged key AI staff to “go all in” on Gemini, as parent company Alphabet looks to close the gap with rivals Anthropic and OpenAI.

Investor attention remains on Gemini 3.5 Pro, seen as a test of whether Google’s DeepMind unit can match the performance of competing premium models.
