‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ to have world premiere at 64th New York Film Festival
New York: ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’, the sequel to director Takashi Yamazaki’s Oscar-winning blockbuster Godzilla Minus One, will have its world premiere at the 64th New York Film Festival.
The film has been selected as the festival’s Spotlight Gala presentation and will premiere at Alice Tully Hall on September 26, 2026. Yamazaki and members of the cast and crew are expected to attend.
Presented by Film at Lincoln Center in partnership with Rolex, the 64th NYFF will run from September 25 to October 12, 2026.
Godzilla Minus One won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 2024 and revived global interest in the franchise with its post-war Japan setting. The follow-up, Minus Zero, is expected to continue the series’ darker tone and large-scale spectacle.
