Boosts safety and quality: Karnataka government introduced new AI-based monitoring system to run dialysis units

Bengaluru: Karnataka introduced a new AI enabled platform, to enhance clinical oversight and to improve the overall quality of care across the dialysis centres under the State’s public-private partnership model. The AI-based smart monitoring system has been rolled out in seven centres across Karnataka. Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao launched the system at K C General Hospital on Thursday.

The system enables real-time tracking of critical dialysis parameters, allowing healthcare teams to closely monitor patients during treatment and respond quickly to any variations. The AI-enabled platform, introduced by NephroPlus, integrates advanced monitoring and surveillance technology into dialysis centres under the government’s PPP programme, with a focus on strengthening patient safety, clinical oversight and standardised care.
