Aurobindo Pharma Q1 net profit up 25% to ₹1,032 crore; Approves merger ff three arms

Hyderabad: Generic drugmaker Aurobindo Pharma posted a 25.2% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,032 crore for the June quarter of FY27.

Revenue from operations grew 16.3% YoY to ₹9,150 crore, supported by growth across key businesses.

The company said U.S. formulations revenue rose on the back of volume gains and new product launches, partially offset by the absence of transient product sales. Europe formulations revenue was driven by robust performance across all major markets.

In a board decision, Aurobindo Pharma also approved the merger of three of its subsidiaries as part of efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiencies.

The Hyderabad-based drugmaker continues to expand its global generics portfolio amid steady demand in the U.S. and European markets.
