Tamil cinema has been marking August as Romance Awareness Month, with every Friday bringing romance in a distinct shade — from the bloody, revenge-fuelled tryst in DC to Suriya’s age-gap romance in Vishwanath & Sons during Independence Day week, followed by rom-coms like Pyaar Prema Kalyanam and Modha Rathiri in the third week.

Now, two romance dramas are set to hit screens this coming week: Hi and Once More. Debutant director Vignesh Srikanth’s Once More, starring Arjun Das, Aditi Shankar and Sona Olickal, promises to celebrate love in its most tender, lyrical form. The film has generated strong buzz online over the last two years, especially for composer Hesham Abdul Wahab’s stirring songs.
