Anya Taylor-Joy shines in Jonathan Tropper’s ‘Lucky’ despite flaws
Jonathan Tropper’s Lucky — spanning seven episodes — has Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead, and apart from her watchable performance, the haircuts in the show grab attention.
The series shows Lucky (Taylor-Joy) chopping off chunks of her long red hair in a washroom with blunt scissors and turning up with perfectly respectable blonde corkscrew curls.
Once past the hairdressing conundrum — reminiscent of Matt Damon giving Marie a haircut in The Bourne Identity — viewers plunge right back into Lucky’s chaotic life.
