Vijay Sethupathi reunites with Balaji Tharaneetharan for ‘Baththa’

Chennai: Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is teaming up with director Balaji Tharaneetharan for the third time in their upcoming film titled Baththa. The makers announced the project on Wednesday, August 12, along with the first-look poster. The poster features Vijay Sethupathi in a vintage look, sporting a beedi, setting the tone for the film.

Presented by Atlee and produced by Priya Atlee, Baththa stars Lijomol Jose as the female lead. Music for the film is scored by Sai Abhyankkar.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 1, 2026.This marks the third collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Balaji Tharaneetharan, following Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi.
