Microsoft posts strong quarterly results on cloud and AI growth

Microsoft beat analyst expectations in its latest quarterly results, driven by growth in its cloud and artificial intelligence businesses.

The tech giant reported $90 billion in revenue and $35.8 billion in net income for the last quarter of its fiscal year, which ended in June.

The company said the strong performance helps ease investor concerns about whether its heavy investments in AI are paying off.

Microsoft also reported a $3.2 billion gain from its investment in Anthropic, the AI startup.

The results signal continued demand for cloud services and AI tools across Microsoft’s business.
