Apple TV unveils first teaser for ‘Neuromancer’, cyberpunk classic to premiere Jan 22, 2027
California: After decades of failed attempts to bring it to the screen, Apple TV has finally lifted the curtain on its adaptation of William Gibson’s Neuromancer. The streamer debuted the first teaser for the series during its San Diego Comic-Con presentation this weekend.
The 10-episode series is set to premiere on January 22, 2027.The teaser introduces viewers to Chiba City, a neon-soaked future where technology, crime and artificial intelligence have become inseparable. It establishes the gritty, high-tech world that defined Gibson’s landmark 1984 novel and helped launch the cyberpunk genre.
Callum Turner stars as Case, a gifted hacker whose career has collapsed before he is recruited for one final high-risk mission. Joining him is Briana Middleton as Molly, the razor-girl mercenary whose enhanced reflexes and mirrored eyes have made her one of science fiction’s most iconic characters.
Neuromancer follows Case and Molly as they are drawn into a dangerous conspiracy involving powerful AIs and corporate overlords. Gibson’s novel is widely credited with shaping modern depictions of cyberspace, hackers, and AI in film, TV, games and literature.
With the Comic-Con teaser, Apple TV signals its biggest push yet into prestige sci-fi, bringing one of the most influential — and long-unadaptable — works of science fiction to television.
