Google unveils ‘Gemini Intelligence’ for Android ahead of I/O 2026
Mountain View: Ahead of its annual Google I/O 2026 event, Google has announced a set of software updates called Gemini Intelligence on Android, aimed at users of its most advanced devices.
The new features use AI to automate tasks like travel research and shopping across apps. Google said Gemini Intelligence will also make web browsing in Chrome “smarter” with AI assistance and let users fill out forms with one tap.
Other additions include widgets that update based on users’ hobbies and interests. A new Rambler feature creates coherent transcriptions of multi-language spoken speech.
The rollout targets Google’s high-end Android devices first. More details are expected at Google I/O 2026.
