Lucknow’s Sarah Moin, who cannot see, hear, or speak, tops ISC class 12 exams with 98.75%
Lucknow: Sarah Moin of Lucknow — unable to see, hear, or speak — has topped her ISC Class 12 examinations with 98.75%, setting an extraordinary benchmark for determination and academic excellence.
Teachers at her school call her Helen Keller, a comparison Sarah embraces as she pursues her next goal. “She calls herself a future IAS officer,” said one of her instructors.
Moin studied using Braille and tactile sign language, with support from special educators and her family. Despite facing multiple disabilities, she mastered all subjects in the ISC curriculum, scoring near-perfect marks.
Her result has drawn praise from educators and officials across Uttar Pradesh, who say her achievement highlights the need for stronger inclusive education systems.
Sarah now plans to begin preparation for the Civil Services Examination, aiming to join the IAS and work on disability rights and education policy.
School authorities said her performance is the highest in the institution’s history and stands as a message of resilience for students across India.
