Wipro signs $1 billion deal with Olam Group; Acquires Mindsprint
Wipro has secured an eight-year strategic transformation deal with Singapore-based Olam Group, expected to exceed $1 billion in total contract value, with a committed spend of $800 million. As part of the deal, Wipro will acquire Olam’s digital services arm, Mindsprint, for $375 million in an all-cash transaction.
Mindsprint, employing over 3,200 professionals, will become a wholly-owned Wipro subsidiary, pending regulatory approvals, by June 2026. The acquisition strengthens Wipro’s presence in the food and agri-business sector, adding domain-led platforms and sector-specific intellectual property.
Under the contract, Wipro will deliver end-to-end transformation services, leveraging its AI suite, Wipro Intelligence, to enhance Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain. Wipro CEO Srini Pallia said the deal combines Mindsprint’s expertise with Wipro’s AI-powered capabilities, unlocking growth opportunities and driving innovation.
