India’s Oscar entry ‘Gondhal’ unveils global trailer

The makers of Marathi film Gondhal, India’s official entry to Oscars 2027, have unveiled the global trailer ahead of its theatrical re-release on November 13.

Directed by Santosh Davakhar, the film will be re-released in seven languages across India, the USA, the UK, Europe, Australia, Dubai and Africa.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the dense psychological thriller set against the backdrop of a folk performance in Maharashtra. It follows Suman and Anandrao, a newly married couple whose lives take a disturbing turn as desire, duty and devotion collide, blending cultural traditions with a stylised, cerebral experience.
