Maruti Suzuki hits 1 lakh export milestone for Jimny, Fronx, e Vitara to Japan

Maruti Suzuki India has achieved one lakh units of cumulative exports of made-in-India Jimny 5-door, Fronx and e Vitara to Japan.

Exports of Fronx to Japan commenced in August 2024, followed by Jimny 5-door in December 2024. The company’s first Battery Electric Vehicle, e Vitara, joined the export portfolio in September 2025.

Japan is now Maruti Suzuki’s second-largest export market by volume. Maruti Suzuki-manufactured vehicles accounted for nearly 100% of imports by Suzuki in Japan during FY26, the company said.
